Matt Coughlin is a native and lifelong resident of Loudoun County Virginia.  He is a former journalist and 1994 graduate of Virginia Tech.  He currently serves as vice president of Leesburg-based landscape contractor Property Services and lives in Leesburg with his wife Kim and sons Jake, 6, Nick, 4, and baby Brett.

 Matt grew up in a former one-room schoolhouse in the woods in southern Loudoun.  He has always loved the outdoors and has made spending as little time as possible in an office a high priority in his life.  But, for a variety of reasons, Matt didn�t start hunting until he was in his late 20s.

 Now, about eight years later, hunting has become a passion for Matt.  He hunts in Loudoun, Clarke, Northampton and King William counties, with the majority of his hunting time spent with a bow on property near his home.  Matt writes about his hunting and other outdoor exploits on the Internet at www.mattcoughlin.typepad.com and focuses on making the outdoors fun for parents and their children.

 Matt's young children already play a major role in his hunting life, and he has dedicated himself to making sure that they don't miss out on hunting as children and young men like he did.
